Announcing QueerVoter.org: Empowering the LGBTQ+ Community to Make Their Voices Heard

We are excited to introduce the latest initiative from Queer Connect: QueerVoter.org. This new platform is dedicated to breaking down barriers and empowering the LGBTQ+ community to become informed, engaged, and active participants in the democratic process.

The LGBTQ+ community has always been a powerful force for social change, advocating for equality, justice, and human rights. However, barriers to full participation in the democratic process still exist, from navigating voter registration to understanding what’s on the ballot. QueerVoter.org is here to help everyone in our community engage fully in the democratic process, regardless of political affiliation.

Our Mission

At QueerVoter.org, our mission is simple: to empower the LGBTQ+ community to become informed, engaged, and active participants in the democratic process. This initiative is focused on encouraging civic engagement without supporting any particular candidate or political party. We believe every queer person’s voice deserves to be heard, and we are committed to providing the resources, information, and support necessary to make that happen.

What QueerVoter.org Offers

1. Check Your Registration: In partnership with Vote.org, Queer Voter helps you easily check your voter registration status. Whether you're already registered or need to update your information, we’re here to assist.

2. See What’s on Your Ballot: We’ll show you what’s on your local ballot, so you can make an informed decision. Our focus is on helping you understand the issues and candidates, empowering you to make your own choices.

3. Register to Vote: It takes less than 2 minutes to register. Our streamlined process ensures that everyone in our community has the opportunity to participate.

4. Get Election Reminders: We’ll remind you when and what you need to vote, so you never miss an election again.

5. Vote by Mail: If you can’t or don’t want to vote in person on Election Day, we’ll guide you through the process of requesting an absentee ballot, so you can vote by mail.

6. Pledge to Register: Too young to vote? Pledge to register, and we’ll text you a reminder on your 18th birthday. Your commitment today ensures your voice will be heard tomorrow.
