At Q Kansas City, we believe in creating a space that embodies the spirit of connection, inclusion, and celebration. To bring this vision to life, we've partnered with two exceptional designers who are not only skilled in their craft but also deeply aligned with our mission and values. We're excited to introduce you to Will Brown and Abraham Colone, whose combined talents and unique perspectives are transforming our space into a vibrant haven for the queer community.
Will Brown of Will Brown Interiors
Will Brown's journey into the world of interior design is as inspiring as it is impressive. After a distinguished career in corporate America, including creative leadership roles at Hallmark and Target, Will transitioned to interior design in 2019, founding Will Brown Interiors. This shift allowed him to merge his refined creative skills with a passion for making a tangible difference in people's lives.
During the pandemic Will became a feng shui practitioner, integrating this practice into his design philosophy. This has enabled him to infuse his projects with a sense of harmony and deeper meaning, resonating profoundly with his clients.
As a biracial member of the LGBTQ community, Will's journey has been marked by resilience. Overcoming the mental, emotional, and financial challenges of 2020, he has continually proven his ability to adapt and thrive. His story is one of strength and perseverance, qualities that he brings to every project he undertakes.
The Q Kansas City nightclub project is particularly significant for Will, marking his foray into commercial design. This project not only expands his portfolio but also offers an opportunity to create a vibrant, inclusive space that reflects the true selves of the queer community. Will's mission is to elevate design in the Midwest while creating spaces that support and celebrate all individuals. By collaborating with other talented designers, he aims to deliver a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and deeply meaningful.
Abraham Colone of AC Interiors
Abraham Colone is a talented newcomer to the interior design scene, bringing his Boston roots and Kansas City flair to every project. With a lifelong passion for design and four years of industry experience, Abraham has already made his mark on stunning spaces in the Kansas City area, Lake of the Ozarks, and Florida. His work is characterized by a commitment to creating aesthetically pleasing and sustainable spaces, a passion he shares with his partner Christopher Colone.
As a proud member of the queer community and a celebration of his Hispanic heritage, Abraham is dedicated to representation and giving back. His journey is a testament to his hard work and dedication, and he is thrilled to collaborate with Will Brown on the Q Kansas City project. Together, they share a commitment to community service and creating beautiful, meaningful spaces that inspire and uplift.
A Shared Vision for Q Kansas City
Together, Will Brown and Abraham Colone are working to transform Q Kansas City into more than just a nightclub. Their shared vision is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated. This project is a testament to the power of collaboration, diversity, and the unifying spirit of the queer community.
We are thrilled to have such talented designers on board and can't wait to unveil the beautiful, meaningful space they are creating. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to opening our doors and welcoming you to Q Kansas City, where everyone is invited to belong, connect, and celebrate.
